Unfortunately, there is no salvation for this movie. Sure it got lots of explosion and action but it lack the elements that exist in the 1st and 2nd movie.

First of all, the actors/actress that were cast for the movie. Clearly Bale is cursed whenever any Aussie guys are in a movie with him. Check The Dark Knight, Heath Ledger steals the limelight from him. And in T4, Sam Worthington truly is the star of the movie.

I find Bale's potrayal of John Connor too dull and predictable. Even Nick Stalh's potrayal of John is much more better. Bryce's potrayal of Kate Brewster is not so bad, just average. And Moon Bloodgood's character Blair Williams is worth to watch.

Secondly, the plot. The machines is T4 are clearly made to look stupid here. And I wonder why these machines wanted to kidnap humans. It seem that the machines in T4 are related to the machines in The Matrix movies. There's also one scene where this one terminator was wearing a bandage around it's head. Is it really necessary? Lol, looks like it has time to explore its sense of fashion in war times.

Lastly, Bale sounds exactly like Batman in this movie. Plus, he seems to be shouting all the time....which is kinda lame. The guy who plays Kyle Reese in these movie is cool. He really captures the essence of the character...as I can relate him to the Kyle Reese from the first movie.

Anyway, fan of these franchise most probably say the movie is great despite its huge flaws. As for me, I hope McG is not the next director for this wonderful franchise as he really killed the franchise in T4.
